So, this week has been great so far! I love all my classes, and I've been working on the goals I set last week.
To help myself towards my weight goal, I've been drinking water nonstop. Although, teachers seem a bit irritated when I ask to go to the restroom everyday in their class. I assure them that it's for a good cause.

So I told you I would be thinking about my goals for this year, and I have been. Some are more personal, but the ones I think you'd be interested in are:
- Lose 15lbs by the end of 1st semester
- Better develop a healthy eating plan as a lifestyle (because everyone knows diets are hard to keep)
- Run at least one more 5k this year (I would add more than that but I don't know how much time I'll have to train!)
- Find a consistent work out buddy
- Like tomatoes

School starts in two days. And this isn't just any school year, no. No. It's SENIOR year. The last year I lie at home and can develop healthy habits to carry with me to college an throughout my life.
With the new school year starting I'm setting new goals, and reinstating the ones I've slacked a little on during the summer. During the summer there's always an excuse to eat unhealthy or pass on exercise for something a little more fun, but this school year I'm erring back on track to success ...

So the shoes that I showed you last week? I thought you'd be interested to know that those were my first new pair of tennis shoes in five years! Not that my parents refused to get me any new ones, but every time we went back to school shopping I would refuse to look at tennis shoes, insisting I keep the same pair as long as I could get some more cute clothes. That just shows how much my priorities had changed within the last year!

Well, I've been running every day but one this week and it's awesome. I've found ways to mix it up (music, no music, taking my dog, going alone, etc) and I've found that it's one of my favorite moments of the day. I get to be alone with my thoughts and just push myself to do my best and work harder.
I've also been making a smoothie for breakfast each morning and I'll give you the recipe because it's fantastic!
