Today I started a weight management program that is offered by my employer. It involves behavior change, exercise, record keeping and there is a staff that offers a lot of support. I am to drink shakes, eat cereal or soup no less than five times a day for the next 13 weeks. I am excited about the program as there are some people at work who have lost a considerable amount of weight using the program. If you have words of encouragement they will be gladly accepted.
Today I have had a chocolate mocha shake, a vanilla shake that tasted like vanilla ice cream, a chocolate shake that tasted like chocolate ice cream and one that was like a cheesecake. I have one more to go. I really like fish and chicken, so it would be nice if there was something close to that.
I am to exercise enough each day to equal a calorie burn of no less than 2000 cal. per week. I walked during my lunch 30 minutes and rode my bike for another 30 after I got home. I would have ridden more, but I had on flipflops and started getting feet cramps...old age is the pits! So far today my calorie burn is,,,,,drum roll, 420.
I have one more shake to drink and I will have met by "shake" goals. If you are on track and do what you are supposed to do, you are "In The Box." I will close now, and hope to stay In the Box.....
