If my figuring is right today, I finished four weeks of the plan. I thought I would be tired of it, but I am not. I feel really good and I think that is due to a stable blood sugar. Tomorrow I weigh in and am wondering how I will do. I had about half of the physical activity points that I had last week, but I did exceed my 2,000 calories of exercise points .
Some days you step in “it” and some days you don’t, and today I did not step in “it.” I did not go for a bike ride mainly due to the heat, but also because I got home a little later than usual due to some important errands…pedicure and manicure…two of my favorite things.
I don’t usually say much about work, but today I met some really awesome patients and their families. Two of them were men from the greatest generation. They were in WWII and had been married for more than 63 years. They both had such a positive outlook on life and you could just tell they were special and extra special to their children. I can only hope to be like them. It was a pleasure to care for them.
I expect to have lots of physical activity this weekend. I am going camping with my three granddaughters. They keep me hopping and you never know what they are going to say or do. Recently the middle one told her mother when she was asked to change into a different outfit, “I don’t want to change. This dress smells like Grandma Weaver.” Who couldn’t love a kid like that?
Thanks so much for your continued messages and encouragement. If you have suggestions for physician activity that doesn’t feel like exercise, send them my way.
Until tomorrow.... one of the greatest labor savings devices of today.
