Day 40

I love my shakes with lots of ice. So far I have burned up three small blenders, but on the bright side, I have a lot of extra blender jars. I got a bullet knock off at Aldi’s on the way home from work that works very well for $14. Those shakes really fill you up and I think the protein keeps you from feeling hungry.

My body is able to do another “new” thing. I can cross my legs comfortably. When I would try to cross my legs, the one on top just stuck out in the air giving all a good view of the bottom of my foot. That is the good body news. The bad body news is when I hold my arms out the skin on the upper arm sways like a porch swing in a heavy wind. No bare upper arms for me.

Our group talked about exercise. I learned that in controlled study groups, the group that did four ten-minute sessions of physical activity lost on the average 2.6 pounds more than the group that worked out for 40 minutes. I think I will try that.

Ray and I went for a bike ride for an hour tonight. It was perfect weather for a walk or ride and we saw lots of people out enjoying the evening. He asked me if I would like to stop in our new restaurant for a drink near the end of our ride. I said “Sure." He finds a place to sit while I go to the restroom. (Remember I am drinking lots of fluids). When I find him, he ordered two waters with lemon because they don’t offer any other caffeine-free drinks. So now, we have a social dilemma; we can’t go to a restaurant and just order water. He got a salad because I wouldn’t let him get an appetizer. I think I got duped.

I am more than half way through my 13 weeks and think I can finish without problems. I still haven’t decided what I will do after I finish. I don’t miss food-food. I am kind of scared to start eating food-food again. Fact: Fidgeting can burn 350 calories a day.

I am In The Box.
