Today was weigh in day and the scales went down another pound. While I would have like a little more, I am very happy.
Last night I stopped on at the YMCA in Mattoon and I am going to become a member Aug 15. If I wait until then, the sign-up fee is being waived. I want to pick up the intensity of my physical exercise and the Y seems to be a good choice. The fee is less than $40 a month and there is plenty of good parking now. I want to have a few sessions with a trainer so I can start resistance training. Again a year ago the only resistance training I would do was to avoid a third or fourth cookie. I really feel this program is a good one. I feel like it is teaching me skills that will be life changing and hopefully keep my weight off. I sure like taking less medication and love the extra energy.
Yesterday after I got off work, I walked 5 miles. One year ago, I could not have done that....well I could have, but I would have still been walking when it was time to go to work.
Tonight I played cards with some friends. My physical activity involved a lot of good laughs with friends. Also, I had lousy cards, but the company was go good I didn't care.
A shout out to Linda N and Stephanie S who have joined the lunch time shake with me. They both are dropping weight and look great, course they looked great before.
