I have a late meeting tomorrow and I can't attend my weekly meeting with my group, so I weighed in this afternoon. Drum roll..... 3.2 pounds lost (hopefully to never be found again) for a total of 36.6 pounds in 70 days. I am doing the happy dance.
I was too busy at work to day dream about the Y, but I did make it there after work and got in 420 burnt calories of physical activity. I can't explain how physical activity can reduce your stress level, but I like it. I find with less stress, I am able to focus on other things than eating. I find that I don't "graze" all evening before I go to bed. I think the price of the Y membership is well worth the peace I get from the physical activity. Try it....you'll like it....but perhaps not the first day....so don't be a quitter!
My friend and fellow weight management pal, Sheryl, gave me a taste of a shake she made. I can't remember the catchy name she gave it, but it was coffee, chocolate and caramel. It was delicious. In addition, it is a great start for a hot day. Thanks Sheryl If anyone else has suggestions, I would love to have them.
So far on my 70-day journey, I have had lots of support from friends and family. I love the shakes, but knowing I have the "A" team on my side is better than my favorite shake. Thank you all so very much. I am blessed.
I not be posting for a few days, so have a safe Labor Day and I'll be back with camping stories on Tuesday!
