Another week and another 2 pounds gone bye bye. At last night's meeting we had a really big group. We added folks who have completed the 13-week core program and are continuing as I am in the On-Going program. After talking with some of them, they, too, have been pleased with their progress.
I’m not knocking the weather. But….I am NOT enjoying these cold spells like I did before the weight loss. Tonight after I worked out at the Y, I was sweating profusely. Once I got outside in the cold, I started shaking as bad as a couple Krispy Cream doughnuts at an OE meeting. I am hoping the added shaking converts to physical activity and burns up a few more calories.
In our class we were given information about increasing our physical activity and how much it would take to take off extra pounds during the holidays. I am going to try to average 3000 for the next eight weeks. I may have to get creative to find the time. Sometimes after I get off work I think about not exercising, but I always make myself do it. One of the reasons I do is because I feel so much better after doing it, both physically and mentally.
Today I saw a motivational sign and I think it said it all. It had a picture of a woman running. The caption said, “There will be a day when I can no longer do this. That day is not today.” I am ordering that poster and plan on putting it where I can see it every day.
Sometimes a majority just means all the fools are on the same side.
