Week 21

Seems like it was just last Tuesday but here it is again. The scales dropped another 1.5 lbs tonight. That gave me a smile.

My provider said I need to be thinking about setting a goal weight. She said at my age....ugggh don't we like those words, it is harder to keep the weight off, so she advised to only do another 20 pounds or so. That gives me time to start thinking about putting real food back into my diet. Even after all of these weeks, I don't miss "food." I love the extra time I have because I haven't really cooked meals unless we had company, so I haven't had to clean up or shop. I get to use that time as mine and I love spending it at the Y.

I had a lot of physical activity this weekend as I had my three granddaughters and a very pretty day Saturday. They love to go to Jennings Park in Neoga and it was the perfect day. The park had a new swing....one new swing....one new pretty purple swing....and I had three kids.... All you parents know the conflict that caused. "It's MY turn." "She won't share." "She is staring at me." The 2-year-old had her own game plan; charge the current occupant of the swing and pull hair. I did finally get control of the situation and promised each kid equal time in the swing. The three of them held a "board meeting" and decided 100 pushes equaled a "turn" and Grandma was the pusher. I lost track of how many "turns" each had, but I know it equaled over a thousand pushes when I had to tell the "board" that their "pusher" resigned.

The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face.
