Week 14

Dear Readers,

It’s Allie here! Can you even believe how close it’s getting to Christmas already? I’m so excited! I just got back from a workout at the Y, so I’m also excited about that! Tonight’s workout was great; I’m starting to feel stronger already.

This past week was “Fitness Week” in P.E.! If you don’t remember what that is, allow me to assist you. It is usually a tortuous week full of humiliating physical assessments performed in front of your classmates. However, this time was different. This time I showed “Fitness Week” whose boss. Not only did I shave three minutes off my mile time, but I improved on my sit-ups, push-ups, and arm-hang. I was SO proud of myself! My physical stamina is improving and it feels great to see those results. Oh, not to mention I had lost 4lbs since our last P.E. weigh-in!

Doing things that are good for my body make me feel confident and invincible. I had to buy a new skirt this week and realized I was down a size! Buying that skirt in a size smaller than usual allowed me to feel beautiful when I wore it for my choir concert Friday night, (and thankful I felt confident in myself because I showed up on the front page of the paper the next morning wearing that skirt)! I’ve been continuing my squat challenge, even though my thighs kill, and tomorrow I’ll be hitting up the gym again to knock out another one of my workouts for the week. I encourage you to keep trying, because even if you don’t feel like you’re seeing results yet- it’s only a matter of time!
