I just got home from a Zumba class at the Y with Gracie and it was awesome! I had forgotten how much fun Zumba is, and we were laughing enough to give our abs a double workout. If you’ve never taken it before, I would definitely recommend it. Even if you’re not the world’s greatest dancer, the class is just fast-paced enough that you get a good workout, but not so fast-paced that you can’t keep up. Finding new ways to workout makes getting active so much easier!
In other news, (extremely exciting news actually) MY PROM DRESS ARRIVED YESTERDAY! And I would show you, but I’m trying to keep it on the DL until Prom. But don’t worry, after the dance I’ll have a million pictures. It’s not the color I expected, but I am absolutely thrilled with it and guess what? It’s actually too loose and I have to get it taken in before the dance! I was almost as excited about that as I was about the dress itself. I can’t wait to wear it, and hopefully my arms are a little more toned by then too. I’ve never really worked them out much, mostly because it’s easier to do things like the elliptical that work your legs. But, my new goal is to build muscle in my arms. Actually, they’re already starting to look slimmer, and I think by the time Prom rolls around next month I might not make people laugh when I flex.
So, between rehearsal, meetings, studying, prom preparations, workouts, and dates...I’m learning how to balance a busy schedule. And I absolutely love it.
