Week 3

Hey, guys! It’s me- Allie! I’m here in my room, and it’s almost 11 (who knew this English project would require this much work?!) but I’m taking a break from this exciting homework to tell you about some awesome highlights of this week!

Allie with OatmealSo I discovered this delicious flax oatmeal that I’ve eaten for breakfast every morning this week, and all I can say is WOW! It’s 160 calories, reasonably priced, and comes in all kinds of delish flavors! My personal favorite is apples and cinnamon, but peaches and cream is also AMAZING. I love to have it in the mornings because it takes 90 seconds to cook and I can eat it relatively quickly without having to rush around and worry about being late to a meeting or having to skip breakfast to be on time!

On to the next exciting news- I’m super excited for Homecoming Round 1 this weekend! I’ll be sure to post some pictures of my friends, my date and I! My Granna (yes, that’s what I call my grandmother) and I are making a girl’s weekend of it and driving up Friday afternoon to watch my date play in the Homecoming game, spending the day together Saturday getting ready for the dance, and going to church there Sunday before driving home. I’m super pumped to spend some time with her, and of course I can’t wait to get all dolled up in my oh-so-fabulous dress. ☺

My eventful week has also consisted of A LOT of quizzes and homework, play rehearsals, early mornings, late nights, and the crazy experience of almost being late coming back from lunch today! Two of my friends and I went out to lunch and had a bit of an issue with ordering our food (i.e. they messed up our change and our order) and had to rush back to school, barely making it into our classes as the bell rang! I know what you’re thinking, and yes- I DO like to live on the edge. ;)

Perhaps the best decision I’ve made this week is to start doing the squat challenge! 100 squats a day (I choose to do them in intervals of 10) and boy has it been hilarious trying to fit them all in! I’ve probably done more squats in the restroom stall at MHS than you would ever think possible! I can hardly walk up the stairs to my Music in American History class because my legs are so sore, but I can already tell a difference after just a few days- it’s definitely something I would recommend trying! It’s difficult the first couple days, but once you power through those it gets a little easier, I promise! ☺
