I got to pondering about this week’s posting. I sure have appreciated all the support I have had from my friends and family. I feel very lucky because after all these weeks, if I was a TV show, I would have switched channels a long time ago, so thanks for hanging in there with me. By the way, this week I gained 1.2 pounds. I guess sometimes when you start eating food, which I did this week, the body has to adjust.

Mother Nature played a dirty trick on us all this week. I’m thinking she should throw these snow fits more than once every 20 years so I would be tougher.
Because she threw her latest fit Wednesday, my weekly meeting was postponed. I was able to make it to weigh in and I gave up another pound. I am now less than 20 pounds from my goal weight. Supposedly a grapefruit is about a pound. My body looks like I have lost a grapefruit from here and one from there. Wouldn’t it be nice to lose body fat ...

Over the last two weeks I have lost two pounds and hope to ever find them again! I am getting very close to my goal weight and remain very optimistic that I can meet the goal.
I haven’t had a problem all these weeks with the required foods, but getting in the higher intensity physical activity has been difficult. When the days are longer and there is light, I can always get outside and bike, walk or jog. Others in my group have mentioned the same problem and we are all looking forward to those longer days.

I had weigh-in this evening and over the last two week lost .6 pounds. With the weather, snow and everything else going on I don’t think I had the intensity in my physical activity that I usually have. I was able to make it to the YMCA only twice.
This past weekend I had my granddaughters. I thought I would offer them a new experience called roller skating as I could kill two birds with one stone; have fun with the kids and get some exercise. And exercise I did get, but it wasn’t exactly what I planned ...

Happy New Year! So what is your New Year’s resolution? I love to make new resolutions, but somehow mine are always something that goes in one year and out the other.
Weigh-in Wednesday, due to the holiday, was changed to Monday. I am another 1.6 pounds down. Total for this program 61 pounds and since August 2012 a total of 91. Week 26 and 27
Yikes! It’s been two weeks jammed with all kinds of fun at the Weaver house.
In December, my husband takes Santa pictures at the Mattoon mall and I am his Elf, aka assistant. I am the poser, printer and the wacky woman who tries to get kids to smile while they are sitting on Santa’s lap. At weigh-in this week I lost 1.25 lbs for a loss of 57.25 on the HMR program. I believe I had been eating too many servings of the cereal. The cereal is prepared in hot water and the warmth and taste was just too good for the cold weather. I cut back to one or two a day and I am hoping for good results Tuesday when I weigh in again.
For 25 weeks I have had only the HMR products and can truthfully say I have not missed food....until Friday. I got home from ...

Week 24 I had to reevaluate this week. At weigh in I stayed the same. I looked back at what I had been eating and calculated my calories. I found I was eating too much of the yummy cereal. So this week my goal is to cut back on the cereal and raise the intensity of my physical activity. I remain optimistic and am very pleased with the program.

I have had a busy two weeks. Around the holidays if anyone has a secret of how to eek a few more hours out of the day please let me know.
Last week I finally left the light on in the bathroom after my shower. I took a deep breath opened my eyes and took a look in a full length mirror at the new body. All I can say is the old birthday suit doesn’t fit like it used to.

Seems like it was just last Tuesday but here it is again. The scales dropped another 1.5 lbs tonight. That gave me a smile.
My provider said I need to be thinking about setting a goal weight. She said at my age....ugggh don't we like those words, it is harder to keep the weight off, so she advised to only do another 20 pounds or so. That gives me time to start thinking about putting real food back into my diet. Even after all of these weeks, I don't miss "food." I love the ...
