About:A not-for-profit child care learning center providing a structured early childhood setting for children ages six weeks through 4th grade, with each level in their own classroom: Nursery (six weeks - 15 mos.), Toddler (15 - 24 mos.), 2 year old, 3 year old, 4 year old, 5 year old, Kindergarten and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Charleston Community Early Leaning Center has been providing services to the community since 1968. Our facility offers - separate lunch room, playroom and gymnasium, new fenced in playground with separate area for infants and toddlers (both areas equipped for climbing and crawling, sand and water play and other outdoor activities), classrooms (2 years and up) are equipped with computers, ability to take nursery children on outdoor excursions in neighborhood with quad strollers. Our programs include - curriculum developed around Developmentally Appropriate Practices, participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and serving of nutritionally balanced meals (breakfast, lunch, p.m. snack), parent education programs, field trips, Parent/Teacher Committee, opportunities for family gatherings such as picnics, and annual fall program.
