Children Encouraged to Make Healthy Choices in the Endzone

Children can get active and improve their health this summer with former NFL pro, Ray McElroy.

Sarah Bush Lincoln and Ray McElroy are teaming up to put the Endzone online. Join McElroy each week of the summer as he teaches a new child-friendly exercise and nutrition tip through online, interactive videos on the Sarah Bush Lincoln website.

Children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade are encouraged to view the videos and complete the exercise routine and nutrition tip each week. Each child can document his or her progress through our downloadable Endzone Log. Children who complete the log at the end of the summer and return it to the nearest Sarah Bush Lincoln clinic will receive a prize.

“I love working with kids and encouraging them to make healthy choices,” McElroy said. “Our goal is to make healthy choices fun. These videos are entertaining and encourage kids to get moving and eat healthy this summer.”

Ray McElroy played cornerback for six seasons for the Indianapolis Colts, the Chicago Bears, and the Detroit Lions. He is an EIU graduate.
