2013 JumpStart Day Camps

Camp dates and locations:

8 to 12 years old
June 3 to 7
8 am to 4 pm • Douglas-Hart Nature Center, Mattoon
 
June 10 to 14
8 am to 4 pm • Neoga Middle School
 
June 17 to 20
8 am to 4 pm • Kansas School

Enroll your child today for a day camp that can make a difference in his or her life!

  • A week of fun and engaging activities will help your child learn the importance of making healthy eating choices and staying active. Campers will also learn methods for coping with stress and improving self esteem.
  • Quarterly themed follow-up sessions for the entire family such as the JumpStart Scavenger Hunt and activities and games along with an educational topic. 
  • Quarterly fitness and health assessments
  • Celebration ceremony with prizes and recognition certificates on the last day of each camp from 4 to 5 pm at each individual camp location. Parents and family are welcome
Activities: Martial Arts, B.O.U.N.C.E., Just Dance,
Body Electric Art Space, Zumba, Team Building Activities...and more
 
Learning Topics: Breakfast is #1, Think before you drink, Healthy Portions, Read that Label, Kids in the kitchen, Smart Snacking
 
Games: Healthy Hollywood Squares, Taste Testing....Discover New Flavors, Boot Camp Obstacle Course, Scavenger Hunt..and more
 
$50 Program Fee - Register early, camp size is limited
Program scholarship available for those who qualify for reduced/free lunch programs. Please include request for scholarship with your application.
