I Sing the Body Electric (ISBE) is a program involving area high school students which uses creativity and the arts to communicate healthy lifestyle choices to their peers.
The program has been replicated in 12 high schools in Vermillion County. The Body Electric program is also being replicated for tobacco refusal programs for junior high school students in 23 schools in the region. The program is a collaborative effort of Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Eastern Illinois University, Regional Office of Education, Lake Land College, Paris Community Hospital and WCIA-TV. ISBE has been recognized as a recipient of local and national awards.
