Today was weigh-in day and I have lost a total of 33.4 lbs which equals 14% of my body fat. Everyone in my group had a good week keeping in the box and losing weight. I love it when we all are successful
Today a patient's family saw my picture in the elevator, put my face to the picture and asked me about the "hospital diet plan." I told them about my experience. Later when I went back to check on the patient, the family told me they went online and looked up the products, and while their mother was in the operating room, went to the SBL Weight Management Program department and scheduled an appointment for an overview and asked for literature to study. They were excited about starting the program and was even happier that their mother's surgery went well too!
It will only be a couple more weeks before my core program is complete. During the program we have been learning about better food choices and have been given tools to use to help us make better choices. We have also learned a lot about the need of CONSISTENT physical activity. I have enjoyed listening to my group talk about what they do and how they feel. I plan to continue what I am doing as I want to continue to lose weight. I feel that I will be able to use what I have learned to keep the weight off as keeping the weight off is what it is all about.
I truly appreciate everyone being there for me and if I can be there for you, count me in.
"Tartle" is the word for that panicky hesitation just before you have to introduce someone whose name you can't quite remember....
