Step in the Right Direction is a program developed specifically for people with pre-diabetes. It helps to reduce the onset of diabetes by helping participants adopt a healthier lifestyle. Participants meet twice a week for six months to exercise. Education is provided daily. Participants also meet in small groups to help with setting and attaining goals and for support in these endeavors. Qualified participants are those with pre-diabetes, defined as fasting blood glucose of 100-125 on two or more occasions.
