The purpose of CCBYS is to divert youth from the child welfare and juvenile justice systems through the provision of family preservation, family reunification, and independent living services. Services are directed as assuring that youth who come into contact or may come into contact with the child welfare or juvenile justice systems will have access to needed community , prevention, diversion, emergency, or independent living services. The majority of youth served under CCBYS in our seven counties are between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age and predominately Caucasian. Specific services include crisis intervention, individual and family counseling, case coordination, wrap around facilitation, and advocacy.
