Sarah Bush Lincoln is offering the American Lung Associations Freedom From Smoking program to help people quit smoking.
Freedom From Smoking is a seven-week program that allows participants to work together with other quitters to develop and execute their own individualized “Quit Plan.” Based on the latest research on addiction and behavioral change, the newly updated quit smoking program addresses many of the difficulties of quitting and provides the education and support to ensure that remaining smoke-fee will become a permanent lifestyle choice.
“Quitting smoking can be very difficult, and we want to support individuals in making these difficult behavioral changes so they can be successful," said Noel Copper, RN, who is specially trained to coordinate the program.
The classes are being offered at the following schedules at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Center for Healthy Living, 1004 Health Center Dr., Mattoon.
Morning Option - 7:30 to 8:15 am beginning Wednesday,February 25
Noon Option - noon to 12:45 pm beginning Wednesday, February 25
Evening Option - 6 to 7 pm beginning Tuesday, February 24
