Positive 111% basal activity or greater
Positive results are consistent with Graves' disease.
Thyroid stimulating immunoglobulins (TSI) are present in 95% of patients with Graves' disease. TSI aids in both the differential diagnosis of Graves' disease and in determining the stimulating activity of the immunoglobulin. Changes in activity may be useful in monitoring treatment of Graves' disease. Positive results are consistent with Graves' disease.
