Retirement Reception Planned for Pediatrician Tom Snowden

A retirement reception will be held for long-time Pediatrician Thomas Snowden, MD, from 4 to 6 pm, Tuesday, April 21, in the Pediatric Clinic in Prairie Pavilion 1 on the SBL campus.

Patients and former patients and their families are invited to visit with him at the reception and enjoy light refreshments. His last day in the clinic will be May 1.

Dr. Snowden, who has practiced medicine for 36 years, attended medical school at the University of Illinois, Chicago and completed a pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital at Ohio State and University of Virginia. He was a pediatrician for nearly 10 years in Oklahoma before returning to the community in which he grew up in 1989. He became an SBL-employed physician in 1993.

Practice Management Vice President Jerry Esker said, “Dr. Snowden has been a leader in our pediatric care and his presence will be missed by his patients, co-workers and the community. We wish him the best as he and his wife, Marianne, pursue the next chapter of their lives.”
