2021 Feed Me, I'm Yours Breastfeeding Seminar

This class is offered free of charge to everyone.
A must if you plan to breastfeed! Whether this is your first baby or you just didn’t have a great breastfeeding experience before, this class will help prepare you for a successful breastfeeding journey!
Class content includes:
- Breastfeeding basics: How to know you’re doing it right
- Avoiding common breastfeeding pitfalls
- How to know your baby is getting enough
- Pumping: Which pumps are best, going back to work, storing milk
- What you really need vs. products you can live without
- The benefits of breastfeeding
Social distancing will be implemented, and the participant will be screened. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

Class content includes:
- How to care for your newborn
- Newborn bath
- Circumcision and cord stump care
- SIDS prevention
- Common newborn appearances (molding, milia, rash, etc)
- Tips for calming a fussy baby
- What you really need vs. products you can live without
- Car seat safety information
Car seat safety is now part of this class instead of a separate class. Information will be provided by police officers who are certified car seat technicians. You may bring your car seat installed in your vehicle and the car seat techs will assess it, ensuring that it is properly installed, and that it is the correct seat for your baby.
Social distancing will be implemented, and the participant will be screened. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
Nothing to bring except your installed car seat in your vehicle if you would like a safety check.

Class content includes:
- How to care for your newborn
- Newborn bath
- Circumcision and cord stump care
- SIDS prevention
- Common newborn appearances (molding, milia, rash, etc)
- Tips for calming a fussy baby
- What you really need vs. products you can live without
- Car seat safety information
Car seat safety is now part of this class instead of a separate class. Information will be provided by police officers who are certified car seat technicians. You may bring your car seat installed in your vehicle and the car seat techs will assess it, ensuring that it is properly installed, and that it is the correct seat for your baby.
Social distancing will be implemented, and the participant will be screened. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
Nothing to bring except your installed car seat in your vehicle if you would like a safety check.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Recert July 13

This program teaches medical personnel to take care of cardiac emergencies that may be present in the acute care setting. Heart disease affects millions of people every year and makes up a significant number of patients seen in health care, so training in handling cardiac emergencies is a necessity. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists. It's also a required course for paramedics in our EMS system as well as nurses in our critical care unit and emergency department. First-time students take a two-day course, while those seeking recertification enroll in a one day course. It is an American Heart Association course and is taught by SBL instructors.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

Car seat safety is now part of this class instead of a separate class. Information will be provided by police officers who are certified car seat technicians. You may bring your car seat installed in your vehicle and the car seat techs will assess it, ensuring that it is properly installed, and that it is the correct seat for your baby.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

This program teaches medical personnel to take care of cardiac emergencies that may be present in the acute care setting. Heart disease affects millions of people every year and makes up a significant number of patients seen in health care, so training in handling cardiac emergencies is a necessity. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists. It's also a required course for paramedics in our EMS system as well as nurses in our critical care unit and emergency department. First-time students take a two-day course, while those seeking recertification enroll in a one day course. It is an American Heart Association course and is taught by SBL instructors.

This program teaches medical personnel to take care of cardiac emergencies that may be present in the acute care setting. Heart disease affects millions of people every year and makes up a significant number of patients seen in health care, so training in handling cardiac emergencies is a necessity. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists. It's also a required course for paramedics in our EMS system as well as nurses in our critical care unit and emergency department. First-time students take a two-day course, while those seeking recertification enroll in a one day course. It is an American Heart Association course and is taught by SBL instructors.

Car seat safety is now part of this class instead of a separate class. Information will be provided by police officers who are certified car seat technicians. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

This program teaches medical personnel to take care of cardiac emergencies that may be present in the acute care setting. Heart disease affects millions of people every year and makes up a significant number of patients seen in health care, so training in handling cardiac emergencies is a necessity. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists. It's also a required course for paramedics in our EMS system as well as nurses in our critical care unit and emergency department. First-time students take a two-day course, while those seeking recertification enroll in a one day course. It is an American Heart Association course and is taught by SBL instructors.

Car seat safety is now part of this class instead of a separate class. Information will be provided by police officers who are certified car seat technicians. Memory Day

A special day of remembrance geared toward children.
In celebration of Lincolnland Hospice Memory Day’s 22nd anniversary, children ages five to 15 are invited to participate in the event.
Memory Day will focus on cherished memories children have of people in their lives they have lost. As part of the event, children will pay tribute to their special loved ones, and participate in group activities focusing on grief.
There is no charge to participate in Memory Day, however, an adult is requested to stay with the child during the program. Also, in respect of the health of the community, masks are required. Event will take place in the lobby of Praire Pavilion 2 on the SBL Campus.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

Safe Sitter is a one-day, nationally certified course designed for children ages 11 and up. Taught in a fun and interactive format, Safe Sitter teaches participants safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. In a Safe Sitter class, students learn through lively discussion, practice and role-play about a variety of topics including baby sitting ethics and etiquette and the business aspects of baby sitting. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.

It's also a required course for paramedics in our EMS system as well as nurses in our critical care unit and emergency department. The Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) course is designed for healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support through the stabilization or transport phases of a pediatric emergency. This course is designed to enhance the participant’s skills in the evaluation and management of an infant or child with respiratory compromise, circulatory compromise, or cardiac arrest. The goal of the PALS course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

2022 Bootie Kamp Infant Care Seminar

This class is offered free of charge to everyone.
Class content includes:
- How to care for your newborn
- Newborn bath
- Circumcision and cord stump care
- SIDS prevention
- Common newborn appearances (molding, milia, rash, etc)
- Tips for calming a fussy baby
- What you really need vs. products you can live without
- Car seat safety information
Car seat safety is now part of this class instead of a separate class. Information will be provided by police officers who are certified car seat technicians. You may bring your car seat installed in your vehicle and the car seat techs will assess it, ensuring that it is properly installed, and that it is the correct seat for your baby.
Social distancing will be implemented, and the participant will be screened. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
Nothing to bring except your installed car seat in your vehicle if you would like a safety check.

2022 Oh, Baby! Express

Express includes all the topics from the two-week session but in a fast-paced Saturday morning session. This course is great for those whose schedules can’t accommodate the Two-Week Comprehensive, but still want to learn the essentials for delivery at Sarah Bush Lincoln. Oh, Baby! Express also makes a great refresher if this isn’t your first baby!

- Pregnancy discomforts and danger signs
- How to know when you’re really in labor
- Stages of labor
- Pain management during labor
- Maximizing your labor progress
- Common medical procedures in labor and delivery
- Induced and augmented labors
- Cesarean delivery
- Guided tour of the Women & Children’s Center with one of our very own labor nurses!
- Numerous birth videos

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

This program teaches medical personnel to take care of cardiac emergencies that may be present in the acute care setting. Heart disease affects millions of people every year and makes up a significant number of patients seen in health care, so training in handling cardiac emergencies is a necessity. The program is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners and respiratory therapists. It's also a required course for paramedics in our EMS system as well as nurses in our critical care unit and emergency department. First-time students take a two-day course, while those seeking recertification enroll in a one day course. It is an American Heart Association course and is taught by SBL instructors.

2022 Feed Me, I'm Yours Breastfeeding Seminar

This class is offered free of charge to everyone.
A must if you plan to breastfeed! Whether this is your first baby or you just didn’t have a great breastfeeding experience before, this class will help prepare you for a successful breastfeeding journey!
Class content includes:
- Breastfeeding basics: How to know you’re doing it right
- Avoiding common breastfeeding pitfalls
- How to know your baby is getting enough
- Pumping: Which pumps are best, going back to work, storing milk
- What you really need vs. products you can live without
- The benefits of breastfeeding
Social distancing will be implemented, and the participant will be screened. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
Nothing to bring; birth partner can attend as well.

CPR

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a hands-on learning experience designed to introduce the learner to the initial actions that should be taken in the event of a cardiac emergency. Participants will learn how to assess a victim of a cardiac arrest, how to access help, and how to begin providing life-saving interventions for those victims of sudden cardiac events. Healthcare providers are also instructed in the safe operation of an automated external defibrillator on children and adults. They are also instructed in the safe usage of a barrier device for providing mouth-to-mask ventilations and the use of a bag-valve mask device.
