Allergy Testing
If you’re one of the many millions of people suffering through allergies, you know that it can be tough to get through the day. And you’re probably also keenly aware that many over-the-counter allergy relief medications have unpleasant side-effects. We offer in-office allergy testing to help identify the allergens that are causing you discomfort. We test patients for a variety of allergies including environmental, food and penicillin. Environmental allergy testing tests patients for the most geographically relevant allergens including tree, grass and weed pollen, molds, cat and dancer, cockroach and dust mites. Food allergy testing and food sensitivity testing can help you determine if you have an allergy or intolerance, giving patients the answers they need. Our on-site allergy testing is conducted through a safe and needle-free skin-prick method, by our allergy trained staff. The appointment takes 60 minutes, and you will receive your results during the appointment.

Penicillin Testing
Testing for penicillin allergies is crucial because many patients may avoid penicillin unnecessarily, leading to the use of alternative antibiotics that could be less effective or have more side effects – or maybe just according to the CDC about 10% of the US population reports having a penicillin allergy but less than 1% are truly allergic.

Subcutaneous Immunotherapy
Subcutaneous immunotherapy, also known as allergy shots, is a form of allergen immunotherapy. It is the only proven, disease modifying method of treating a patient’s environmental allergies. By gradually exposing yourself to the allergens you’re allergic to, allergy sufferers may attain long-term allergy relieve from your symptoms. If allergy shots are an option for you, a personalized treatment plan will be developed based on the results of your allergy test. Allergy shots are approved by the Food and Drug Administration

Sublingual Immunotherapy
Sublingual immunotherapy, also known as allergy drops, is another form of allergen immunotherapy. This needle free method of repeatedly exposing patients to a small dose of the airborne allergens they are allergic to, is personalized at-home approach to modifying the root cause of a patient’s allergies. Drops are formulated by the provider to reflect specific results of each allergy test and individual patient history, with doses beginning at the weakest dilution and volume, and slowly building up as the patient grows more tolerant over time. Allergy drops are self-administered orally, by following a daily dosage log and clinical guidance of the provider.
