SBL Prepares to Build New Shelbyville Clinic

April 10, 2017 1:05 p.m.

Sarah Bush Lincoln is moving forward with its plan to raze the former Pizza Hut and build a fully modern clinic in Shelbyville.

Demolition is set to begin in mid-April with construction to follow. The new site, located at 1215 W. Main St., will replace clinic’s current location in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital in Shelbyville.  Family Practitioner Doris Bowers, MD, and Gary Hayden, PA-C, will continue to provide care at the new facility.

The proposed clinic will look similar to other Sarah Bush Lincoln clinics with a brick facade, canopied entrance and will feature nine exam rooms, a procedure room, laboratory and diagnostic imaging and an expanded reception area. Construction is expected to take eight months to complete.
