Lincolnland Hospice Hosts Memory Day for Kids June 16

Lincolnland Hospice is hosting its 19th annual Memory Day, a program geared toward children who have experienced the death of a loved one.

Memory Day, which is geared for children five to 15 years old, is set for 10 am, Saturday, June 16, in the Lumpkin Family Center for Health Education (Entrance C) at Sarah Bush Lincoln.

Memory Day will focus on cherished memories children have of special people they have lost in their lives, as well as pay tribute to them. As part of the event, children will plant flowers, participate in group activities focusing on grief, including a release of doves. Light refreshments will be served.

The use of Lincolnland Hospice is not a prerequisite for participating in this event. If you’d like more information about Memory Day, feel free to call Lincolnland Hospice Bereavement Counselors Dawn Sexton or Resa Ware at 1-800-454-4055.
