Effingham Clinic Staff & Chamber Cut Ribbon

April 10, 2019 12:28 p.m.

Ten years ago in June, Sarah Bush Lincoln opened this clinic to provide ENT services and laboratory services in this region. Both have been very successful and Sarah Bush Lincoln is very grateful to the community for trusting it with its care.

Today Sarah Bush Lincoln officially cut a ribbon to welcome its three newest Effingham physicians:

  • Louis Schwing, MD, Internal Medicine practice
  • Doug Kabbes, MD, Effingham Walk-In Clinic

who both came to this clinic in January, and

  • Paul Oltman, MD, Family Practice

All three have very strong ties to Effingham. Dr. Kabbes has been a life-long resident of the community; Dr. Oltman has been in independent practice here for 28 years, and Dr. Schwing has lived here for nine years.

SBL President and CEO Jerry Esker said, “They have chosen to stay here and care for the people in this region because this is their home and they love it. We are incredibly happy that all three are continuing to work in the community, doing what they do best, provide excellent care to their patients. We’re here to support them and provide them with the tools they may need.”
