These free 10-minute consultations are offered by appointment only, which can be made by calling 217-821-0426.
People with hernias usually experience swelling, a bulge or pain in the abdomen, pelvis or groin area. They may also have pain or discomfort, especially when bending over, coughing or lifting. Some hernias with few symptoms may just need monitoring by your primary care physician. Those with more serious symptoms may need surgical treatment.
