Dan & Jeanne Cunningham of Mattoon recently donated $15,000 to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation’s Campaign “The most important home you’ll ever build” for which $2.5 Million is being raised for a new Hospice House. Construction on the $8 Million House will begin in Spring 2022 and will be located on the north side of the main hospital building. The Foundation is raising $1 Million to help offset construction costs and another $1.5 Million to build an Endowment to help those without resources pay for their stay in the hospice house.

“We’re so grateful for Dan and Jeanne’s generosity over the years. They have touched the lives of countless people and will continue to do so with this, their most recent, very generous gift. On behalf of the Hospice House campaign committee, I want to thank them for this amazing donation, specifically to fund the chapel/meditation room in the new hospice house,” said Amy Card, SBL Foundation Director. “This particular room will be so meaningful for families who spend time together during their loved ones’ last days.”
