SBL Hospice Binga set for September 9

August 11, 2025 12:35 p.m.

The Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation will host its 18th annual SBL Hospice Binga on Tuesday, September 9, at the Mattoon Eagles Club, 1917 Oak Avenue. Net proceeds support an  endowment for SBL Willow Breeze Hospice House.

Contributions to Hospice Binga directly impact people throughout East Central and Southern Illinois by helping those with limited resources pay for their stay at Willow Breeze. “Willow Breeze has already impacted many families in the region,” SBL Special Events Officer Kim Lockart said. “Proceeds from Hospice Binga will support the endowment and ensure that we can continue to help families who need assistance.”

Admission tickets are available for $10 each, which includes 10 regular Binga games. Raffle tickets are also available for $5 each, or three for $10, for a Nintendo Switch 2 Console and Mario Kart World bundle, featuring a vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with 256 GB of internal storage. The bundle is donated by County Office Products, Inc. The winner will be drawn on September 9 during SBL Hospice Binga, but you need not be present to win.

This year’s auction items will open for bidding online starting at 8 am on Friday, September 5. Items range from activities to handmade treasures and will also be on display at the event and available for bidding through 5 pm on Wednesday, September 10.

SBL would also like to thank this year’s Partner, Blake’s Shining Star & the Durdel Family, and  Title Sponsors: Commercial Electric; Cromwell Media; and First Neighbor Bank.

For more information, to make a donation, or to purchase raffle tickets, contact the SBL Health Foundation at 217-258-2511 or visit www.sarahbush.org/binga. You can also bid on auction items at this web address.
