Gary and Jennifer Swearingen of Neoga recently donated $10,000 to the SBL Specialty Pavilion now under construction in Effingham, at 905 North Maple Street. The $28 million facility is expected to open next October.

“This region is incredibly fortunate to have a health system the size of Sarah Bush Lincoln’s,” Gary and Jenny said“It’s important to us to support its growth, and we’re very excited that this new facility is coming to the Effingham community to care for our friends. Living in Neoga, we appreciate their expansion to the local communities.”

The 39,946 square-foot facility will offer multiple services including cardiology and a cardiac rehabilitation gym, pulmonary function testing, ENT and hearing aid services, laboratory and space for physician specialists, as well as a drive-thru retail pharmacy.

“Gary and Jenny are so generous and over the years have supported both Sarah Bush Lincoln’s growth, as well as many services that we offer, especially those that provide care to the uninsured,” SBL Health Foundation Director Amy Card said. “They donate to us to help make life better for others, and that is truly a gift.”

Donors making gifts of $5,000 or more to the Effingham Specialty Pavilion will have their names engraved on individual plaques in the new building. Donors making gifts of $1,000 or more will be acknowledged on an engraved group plaque. For more information about donating, contact Card at 217-258-2511 or [email protected].
