Beck’s Hybrids, based in Atlanta, Indiana with a large facility in Effingham, recently made a major gift to the SBL Effingham Specialty Pavilion, as did the Jim Zimmer family. The Specialty Pavilion, now under construction, is expected to be complete in Fall 2026.
“Beck’s is known to be a tremendous community partner and this generous donation certainly reflects that reputation,” said Mark Mayhood, SBL Health Foundation Board Member. “We’re so appreciative of the Beck family and Jim Zimmer and his family for partnering with us to continue expanding healthcare services to people in and around Effingham.”
Beck’s and the Zimmer Family will be recognized in the new Pavilion for their generosity.
The new, 39,946 square-foot facility will be located at 905 N. Maple and will include a variety of services including cardiology and a cardiac rehabilitation gym, pulmonary function testing, ENT and hearing aid services, a drive-thru retail pharmacy, laboratory and space for physician specialists.
Beck’s is the largest family-owned retail seed company and the third largest seed brand in the United States. The company serves farmers throughout the Midwest and Mid-South.
