First Mid Bank & Trust has donated $25,000 to the new Sarah Bush Lincoln Specialty Pavilion, now under construction at 905 North Maple Street in Effingham. The Pavilion is expected to be complete next Fall.

“We’re thrilled to be the recipient of this generous donation from First Mid,” SBL President & CEO Kim Uphoff said. “We value our partnership with First Mid and appreciate the investment they make to strengthen this region.”

The new, 39,946 square-foot facility will include a variety of services including cardiology and a cardiac rehabilitation gym, pulmonary function testing, ENT and hearing aid services, a drive-thru retail pharmacy, laboratory and space for physician specialists.

“As Sarah Bush Lincoln continues to expand services throughout East Central and Southern Illinois, we believe it’s important to support that growth,” Joe Dively, First Mid Chairman, said. “Both of our organizations prioritize those we serve, and this facility will bring even more quality healthcare services to the Effingham region.”

Amy Card, SBL Foundation director, explained that First Mid has been part of many hospital campaigns in the past. “The bank has very generously made substantial donations to our Hospice House, Heart Center and more. We’re so very grateful for this most recent gift and their ongoing support of Sarah Bush Lincoln,” she said.
