Pediatric therapy involves specialized care for children that addresses developmental, physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Our team of physical and occupational therapists and speech language pathologists work with children to enhance motor skills, communication, and overall well-being. Our goal is to support optimal growth and development, addressing your child’s specific needs based. Interventions are often play-based and tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Physical Therapy

Our pediatric physical therapists provide the following treatments to promote independence in daily activities:

  • Balance and coordination skills
  • Strengthening exercises
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Posture/positioning techniques
  • Orthotics
  • Equipment/assistive technology (wheelchairs, walking devices, standing frames, etc.)

Occupational Therapy

Our pediatric occupational therapists use play to improve a child’s ability to participate in daily routines, with examples including:

  • Self-care skills
  • Fine motor and visual motor skills
  • Sensory processing skills
  • Emotional regulation
  • Body awareness

Speech Therapy

Our Speech Language Pathologists provide play-based therapy sessions to help children who are experiencing difficulties in learning to eat, talk, or speak clearly. Treatment techniques are designed to improve:

  • Use of words/language
  • Increasing vocabulary
  • Participation in functional conversation
  • Speech motor skills for clear speech production
  • Oral motor skills for breast and bottle feeding
  • Oral motor skills for eating solid foods
  • Sensory based feeding therapy
