Safe@Home by Safe Sitter® is a is a 90-minute program designed for 4th-6th grade students to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone.
The program will teach students how to:
- practice safe habits
- prevent unsafe situations
- what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies
Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. Class materials are included in the $15 fee.
All classes run from 8 to 9:30 am in the Lumpkin Center for Health Education at Sarah Bush Lincoln (Entrance C - North parking lot). This course is open to community members and class size is limited.
